Data Methodology

Starting with a multitude of sources including regulatory filings, annual reports, leadership pages of corporate websites, as well as various forms of user-generated content, the data is then expanded through deriving metrics and applying calculations to the raw values before being further curated to ensure market-leading quality. All content is verified by public filings, corporate websites, or user-submitted data from the person represented by the user profile.

Raw data is first deconstructed into a proprietary database using machine-assisted and manual techniques and then run through an identification, de-duplication, and normalization process. Data from the various sources, including some calculated information, is then combined and normalized before being entered into the dataset files. A team of trained analysts reviews new and updated content to ensure accuracy and overall quality.

For a summary of foreign key field relationships and the detailed listing of which files are included in each package, see Equilar People Business Intelligence and Equilar Executive & Director Relationships.
