SVP, Global Director of Content and Technology Solutions Rich Newman is SVP and Global Head of the Content and Technology Solutions (CTS) group at FactSet. Rich was a founder of Insyte, FactSet’s first acquisition in 2000. Insyte created an object-oriented database that provided an analytical platform for many of the leading quantitative investment organizations. At FactSet, Rich founded the Quantitative Investment Management group to create products and solutions that ranged from individual packaged applications to data feeds and APIs. CTS expanded those efforts by standardizing FactSet’s off platform solutions. The group's latest initiative is the Open:FactSet Marketplace; a platform that provides access to FactSet content and third-party alternative data and solutions in an integrated cloud-based environment. Rich is a graduate of the Wharton School with concentrations in Finance, Accounting, and Decision Sciences.
