Fiat took a majority stake in Chrysler in 2011 and will now pick up the remaining ownership in a deal worth $4.35 billion. Fiat has been successfully increasing its global scale. In 2011, only 3% of its revenue came from North America; just two years later, 54% of its revenue came from North America.
