With FactSet GeoRev, see how your portfolio is exposed to country-specific risk

Country of domicile is no longer an accurate reflection of a company’s geographic exposure. Global investing should take into account where companies receive their revenue. Many investment managers are now focusing on revenue as a new proxy for where a company does business, but they are struggling to find tools to help. FactSet’s Geographic Revenue Exposure (“GeoRev”) data provides a transparent picture of regional or country risk.

The escalating dispute between Russia and Ukraine and its impact to neighboring Poland are driving investment managers to review companies located in these countries. In addition, managers need to have visibility into which companies not domiciled in the region may be exposed.

  • Independent oil and gas company FX Energy (FXEN) derives 82% of its revenues from Poland.
  • Two Oncology Biotech firms are highly dependent upon revenues from Russia: Bind Therapeutics (BIND) at 30% and Cleveland Biolabs Inc. (CBLI) at 65%.
  • Capstone Turbine Inc. (CPST), the world’s leading producer of low-emission microturbine systems, generates about 10% of its revenue from Russia.
  • Euronet Worldwide Inc (EEFT), a global provider of electronic payment processing, posted approximately 7% of its revenues sourced from Poland.
  • Provider of affordable energy AES Corporation (AES) has about 3% of its revenues coming directly from Ukraine.
  • PepsiCo (PEP) has over 7% of its sales from Russia.
